Author Guidelines

NORMAS PARA SUBMISSÃO DE ARTIGOS E RESENHAS

Serão submetidos a aprovação da Comissão Editorial e a avaliação, pelo sistema duplo cego, de pareceristas ad hoc artigos que atendam ao tema e à respectiva ementa de cada número, bem como resenhas de livros ou filmes e artigos sobre as diversas manifestações linguísticas, estéticas, sociais, políticas e históricas do universo hispânico. Os trabalhos podem ser redigidos em português, espanhol ou inglês e devem ser inéditos. Trabalhos em outras línguas poderão ser excepcionalmente admitidos.

As contribuições devem ser originais e inéditas, com submissão individual ou em coautoria (máximo de 2 autores(as)).

Artigos

O trabalho deve obedecer a seguinte sequência, seguindo a ABNT (principalmente NBR6023/2018 e NBR10520/2023):

1. Título – centralizado, em negrito, com maiúscula só para letras iniciais. Fonte: Times New Roman 16.

2. Nome(s) do(s) autor(es) – na submissão às cegas, deve-se omitir qualquer tipo de identificação de autoria, incluindo nomes de projetos e núcleos. Na versão final, no caso de textos aprovados, incluir nome completo uma linha abaixo do título, alinhado à direita. Indicar em nota de rodapé titulação, afiliação institucional e email. Por ex.: Doutora em Linguística. Professora do Departamento de Língua e Literatura Estrangeiras (DLLE) e do Programa de Pós-graduação em Linguística (PPGL) da Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC). E-mail: xxxx@gmail.com

3. Resumo - no caso de textos redigidos em português, incluir um resumo nessa língua e outro em espanhol ou inglês. No caso de textos redigidos em espanhol ou inglês, incluir o resumo na língua em questão e outro em português. As palavras Resumo, Resumen ou Abstract devem estar na fonte Times New Roman 11, negrito, com apenas a letra inicial maiúscula. Nessa mesma fonte, sem negrito, em espaço simples, sem recuo e com alinhamento justificado deve estar o texto resumo. O resumo deve ter, no mínimo, 100 e, no máximo, 150 palavras.

4. Palavras-chave – devem ser acrescentadas uma linha abaixo do resumo, fonte Times New Roman 11, negrito, com apenas a letra inicial maiúscula. Listar na mesma fonte, sem negrito, com apenas inicial maiúscula e separadas por ponto e vírgula, de três a cinco palavras-chave. A questão das línguas segue a mesma orientação prevista para o resumo.

(Obs.: Resenhas não devem ser acompanhadas por resumo, resumen ou abstract.)

5. Texto – em Times New Roman 12, espaçamento 1,5 entre linhas e parágrafos. Alinhamento justificado. Os artigos devem ter entre 5 mil e 8 mil palavras, em formato A4, com 2,5 cm de margem superior e inferior e 3,0 cm de margem esquerda e direita. Para resenhas: no mínimo 1.200 e no máximo 2.500 palavras. Não numerar as páginas.

6.1. Parágrafos: usar “primeira linha” (1,25 cm, observar se um caractér Tab está sendo inserido por acidente).

6.2. Subtítulos: Times New Roman 14, sem recuo, em negrito, só com a primeira letra em maiúscula. A numeração dos subitens, se for usada, deve ser feita em algarismos arábicos.

6.3. Tabelas e ilustrações (fotografias, desenhos, gráficos etc.) devem vir dentro do padrão geral do texto e no espaço a elas destinado pelo autor, não ao final. Tabelas, gráficos, imagens e quadros devem ser precedidos de um título numerado e em negrito, e sequenciado pela informação da fonte. No caso de fonte autoral, incluir após a imagem: Fonte: sobrenome do autor (ano da submissão do texto). Exemplo:

6.4. Notas devem ser evitadas. Quando necessário, devem aparecer ao pé da página, numeradas com números arábicos, de acordo com a ordem de aparecimento. Fonte: Times New Roman 10, espaço simples.

6.5. Ênfase ou destaques no corpo do texto – deve-se usar negrito. Para palavras em língua estrangeira, usar itálico. Não sublinhar textos.

6.6. Citações de até três linhas vêm entre aspas, seguidas do sobrenome do autor (não utilizar maiúsculas, de acordo com a atualização da NBR10520/2023), ano de publicação e página(s). Ex.: (Lieblich, 2005, p. 61). Com mais de 3 linhas, com recuo de 4 cm, fonte Times New Roman 11, sem aspas, espaço simples, também seguidas do sobrenome do autor, ano de publicação e página(s). Não utilizar itálico em orações completas em língua estrangeira, apenas em expressões ou conceitos.

Resenhas

Devem ser apresentadas com a mesma formatação dos artigos (sem título, nem resumo, nem palavras-chave), com a referência completa da obra resenhada, em parágrafo justificado.

7. Anexos – Caso existam, devem ser colocados após as referências bibliográficas, precedidos da palavra Anexos, maiúscula só na letra inicial e negrito, sem recuo e sem numeração. Quando constituírem textos já publicados, devem incluir permissão dos editores para publicação. Recomenda-se que anexos sejam utilizados apenas quando absolutamente necessários. Os anexos não podem exceder o máximo de caracteres estipulado para os artigos.

8. Referências – listar todas e apenas obras citadas no corpo do texto. O título Referências só com a letra R maiúscula, em negrito, centralizado, sem recuo, deixando duas linhas simples em branco antes desse título e duas após. Espaço simples nas referências bibliográficas, sem deslocamento. Não abreviar primeiro nome e incluir tradutores.

Anti-racist linguistic education in Higher Education, Social Justice and Hispanisms: open dialogues and paths taken in teaching, teacher training and research

The dossier “Anti-racist linguistic education in Higher Education, Social Justice and Hispanisms: open dialogues and paths taken in teaching, teacher training and research” brings together studies that discuss plural ways of designing anti-racist linguistic education in Brazilian Higher Education, in the formative, praxeological and investigative spheres, with special attention to the production of knowledge, including proposals for actions of an interventionist and transformative nature. In the field of Applied Linguistics, in dialogue with different approaches and areas of knowledge of Brazilian Hispanism, the edition seeks to analyze how Higher Education constitutes itself as a privileged locus for confronting the forms of subjectivation that manifest themselves in practices of violence anchored in the updated facets of coloniality and to challenge the social asymmetries that materialize according to ethno-racial criteria.

In light of these issues, this dossier aims to contribute to broadening the debate on education as a transformative action grounded in social justice, by highlighting experiences shaped by political, curricular, theoretical, and practical dynamics, translated into resistance to social inequalities and the construction of anti-racist education in Higher Education, observing the challenges, implications, and potential for its realization. In this sense, proposals that address how we, as researchers and professors in Higher Education, have responded to the demand for anti-racist language education through different theoretical and methodological approaches will be welcomed. Works that discuss whiteness, white identity, and whitening in the Latin American context are of interest, through reflection on the role of Spanish as a protagonist of anti-racist attitudes and practices in Higher Education. We are also interested in works that present methodological and curricular approaches that contribute to anti-racist education, with Spanish as the central axis, in the fields of linguistic, literary, cultural, and educational research. We are equally interested in the articulation between anti-racist education in Higher Education and Basic Education, especially regarding the production of teaching materials and innovative proposals, as well as works that revise the conception of language and linguistic models, focusing on the relationships between language, literature, and racism/anti-racism, with regard to Spanish. Within the context of Hispanism and Higher Education, the aim is to make visible proposals from teachers and researchers that allow us to understand what is being produced and experimented with to counter racism by critically reviewing the role of language, literature, culture, and education.

Dossier - Linguistic and Translation Studies

Linguistic and Translation Studies within the Spanish Language

This thematic dossier aims to bring together original contributions that, from different theoretical and methodological perspectives, address research in the field of linguistic and translation studies related to the Spanish language. Recognizing Spanish as a pluricentric, transnational, and internally heterogeneous language, this volume seeks to problematize both its systematic descriptions and the regimes of normativity and policies that regulate its uses and dissemination.

Within this context, the Spanish language emerges as a privileged space for the development of research encompassing everything from the description and analysis of linguistic phenomena to translation practices, intercultural mediation, and the circulation of knowledge in multilingual contexts. This dossier aims, therefore, to promote interdisciplinary dialogue between Linguistics, Applied Linguistics, Translation Studies, and related fields, encouraging critical approaches to the teaching, learning, use, and dissemination of Spanish in different sociocultural contexts.

By proposing this dossier, we seek to highlight how research on this topic has driven theoretical shifts, challenged hegemonic models, and produced critical readings of Spanish. It is, therefore, about recognizing a transnational network of knowledge production that, while anchored in local realities, significantly contributes to the strengthening and diversification of the field of Hispanic studies internationally.

Submissions that fall within, among other possibilities, the following thematic areas will be particularly welcome:

Variation, change, and linguistic diversity in the Hispanic world;
Discourse analysis and socio-communicative practices in Spanish;
Studies of lexicon, lexicography, and terminology;
Teaching and learning Spanish as a foreign language (ELE);
Literary, technical, audiovisual, and intersemiotic translation involving the Spanish language;
Contrastive studies between Spanish and other languages;
Digital technologies and their interfaces with linguistic and translation studies;
Linguistic policies, internationalization, and interculturality in the Spanish-speaking world;
Translator training and professional practices within the Spanish language.

By articulating linguistic description, epistemological reflection, and analysis of translation practices, the aim is not only to map contemporary trends but also to foster the development of new research agendas that engage with productions from diverse contexts. The aim is to highlight the constitution of a plural and interconnected field, in which distinct academic traditions contribute to the advancement of Spanish language studies.

Consequently, it is hoped to contribute to affirming Brazil's role as a strategic locus for the production of knowledge about the Spanish language, in articulation with these diverse scenarios, from a critical, comparative, and transnational perspective, capable of challenging consolidated paradigms and broadening the horizons of linguistic and translation studies within the Hispanic context.

Submission Guidelines:

Manuscripts must be original and written in Portuguese or Spanish, in accordance with the journal's guidelines. All submitted texts will be peer-reviewed in a double-blind system.
